Please take time to be thankful for the free country in which we live. In the winter of 1775-1776, General George Washington led our troops through pivotal battles driving the English out of cities like Boston, Trenton, and Concord. With just a few troops as compared to the English and the will to be a free nation, General Washington and his fellow Americans were victorious. Later as the Continential Congress convened in Philadelphia, the authors of the Constitution penned the Declaration of Independence which endowed the basic rights of all citizens.
As the global war on terror continues, let us remember and be thankful for our free nation and all the brave men and women who have sacrificed their own personal lives and fortunes so that our country and her citizens can work, go to school, go to church, and travel in freedom. May all of you have a great 4th of July Holiday.
